KL Rahul’s Cricket Career

On June 11, 2016, KL Rahul played in his first one-day international match against Zimbabwe. He became the first Indian player in the history of Indian Cricket to record a passionate century in his debut game.
KL Rahul’s IPL Career
He was acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore as a wicket-keeper batsman for the 2013 Indian Premier League after his outstanding performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He transferred to Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 1 crore the following season.
He was brought back to RCB in advance of the 2016 Indian Premier League. With 397 runs scored in 14 games, he finished the season as the third-highest run scorer in the competition.
At 11 Crores, Kings Eleven Punjab hired him for the 2018 season. With the quickest half-century in tournament history, he got the event off to a great start. Controversies
Rahul’s biggest scandal occurred in 2019 when he and Hardik Pandya made sexist comments on Karan Johar’s talk show “Koffee with Karan.” The players discussed their relationships and crushes while making some nasty remarks.
The two cricketers were instructed to provide INR 1 lakh apiece to the widows of 10 paramilitary force constables who died in the line of duty by BCCI Ombudsman DK Jain. Also, they were requested to contribute INR 10 lakh apiece to the Cricket Association’s fund set up to promote blind-friendly games.
Before the ODI series against Australia, BCCI sent both of the cricketers home after suspending them. The two players were returned from their abroad tours for the second time in the 82-year history of Indian cricket due to disciplinary action.
Rahul rejoined the team for India A matches after the suspension was ultimately lifted.
